Investigate 1790s Philadelphia

In the 1790s, Philadelphia was the largest city in the United States. Some 42,000 people lived here. Philadelphia was a bustling port city. Ships from all over the world came into its docks. The streets were full of merchants and tradespeople, as well as farmers, sailors, domestic servants, and slaves.
